Privacy Policy for CalcMask: Hide Photos & Video

Last Updated: July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we, as the developer of CalcMask: Hide Photos & Video (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “the Developer”), handle your information when you use our application (package name: com.utility.secretvault, collectively referred to as the “App”). We are committed to maintaining data transparency while providing local media encryption and calculation utility functions.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  • This App does not provide cloud upload features. All file encryption, masking, and storage operations are performed locally on your physical device.
  • This App is not intended for users under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the App or provide any personal information to us.

1. Who We Are

Data Controller: Guangzhou Funiu Information Technology Co.,LTD (广州伏牛信息科技有限公司)
Contact Email: e004@efuniu.cn

Our Principle: We act as the Data Controller for general device telemetry processed during your use of the App, while your actual hidden files remain entirely under your personal control within your device's local directories.

2. Information We Handle and How It Is Processed

To ensure full compliance with the Google Play Data Safety requirements, we clearly separate the data processed locally on your device from the telemetry handled by integrated third-party SDKs:

2.1 File Processing (Local-Only Scope)

User-Selected Media: When you select photos or videos to hide, they are copied into the App's private local sandboxed directory (context.filesDir) utilizing standard Android Scoped Storage protocols.

No Server Storage: We do not host, monitor, transfer, or upload your hidden photos, videos, or file directories to any external cloud servers. All such file contents are processed on-device.

2.2 Telemetry Collected via Third-Party SDKs

Our app integrates standard third-party SDKs for advertising and performance monitoring. These SDKs may automatically collect the following non-sensitive data: device model, operating system version, system language, Google Advertising ID (GAID), approximate location (IP-based country/region level), crash logs, and usage statistics. This data is used to deliver personalized advertisements, analyze app performance, and improve user experience.

Approximate Location: Approximate location (IP-based country/region) is collected solely to support localized advertising and legal compliance requirements.

3. Third-Party Attribution & Analytics (Adjust Integration)

We use Adjust for attribution and analytics. The SDK is configured to use only the Google Advertising ID and does not collect hardware identifiers such as IMEI or Android ID.

4. Third-Party Partners and Privacy Protocols

We integrate industry-standard SDKs to maintain app performance and monetize via In-App Advertising (IAA). These third-party services process data under their own independent privacy agreements:

4.1 Development & Telemetry

Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring): Monitors app stability and records interface usage parameters.
Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4.2 Programmatic Ad Networks

These networks use your Google Advertising ID (GAID) to render appropriate ad placements:

5. Why We Access Specific Device Permissions

We request access to device permissions only when necessary to execute user-initiated functions in accordance with Android 13 & 14 (API 33/34) standards:

6. Data Retention and Deletion Mechanism

Local Partition Storage: Because this App does not require account creation and has no external server storage, your encrypted media remains exclusively inside the App’s private local directory on your physical device.

How to Delete Your Data: To satisfy Google Play’s data deletion standards, you can easily exercise your data erasure rights at any time. You can permanently and irreversibly wipe all local sandboxed files, database configurations, and app state records by:

  1. Navigating to your device's System Settings -> Apps -> CalcMask: Hide Photos & Video -> Storage.
  2. Tapping "Clear Storage" or "Clear Data".
  3. Alternatively, performing a standard Uninstallation of the App will instruct the Android operating system to completely delete the sandboxed directory.

Please Note: Ensure you restore all your files to the public system gallery before clearing data or uninstalling, as local deletions are permanent and cannot be restored by the Developer.

7. Regional Regulations (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA Compliance)

If you reside within the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or specific US regions with comprehensive privacy laws (e.g., California):

Consent Gathering: We deploy a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) utilizing the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to gather explicit authorization for personalized advertising. You can review or adjust your consent configurations at any time inside the App settings.

Your Privacy Rights: You have the right to request access, rectification, portability, or deletion of telemetry processed by our ad and analytics partners. Please reach out to our team to initiate these requests.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material updates will be made available directly through our designated store listing or inside the App interface.
